Individual Planning, Estates & Trusts

Many of our clients are sophisticated and profitable businesses, whose principals often require assistance in formulating intelligent long-range financial and estate plans.

Personal financial planning involves the use of partnerships, limited liability companies, corporations and trusts, stock redemptions or reorganizations, charitable giving, estate and personal income tax planning, as well as buy-sell and equity transfer agreements. Our experience in this area, coupled with our corporate capabilities, provides our individual clients, particularly those with closely held businesses as the substantial part of their personal assets, with ongoing advice regarding preservation of their assets and appropriate strategies for diversification.

Members of the firm have substantial knowledge and experience in advising clients on planning for the transfer of personal wealth, both living and testamentary, to minimize estate and probate costs. We act as and represent fiduciaries, executors, administrators and trustees, as well as represent beneficiaries, in the settlement and administration of trusts and descendants' estates, including preparation of probate filings, trust, estate and inheritance tax returns.
